Pretoria Career Orientation Centre

During that time (1981) the Pretoria Career Orientation Centre was established to exclusively focus on addressing the obstacles as identified by the De Lange Report.
The core focus of the Centre was to offer affordable quality services to individuals, particularly in the counselling arena of career orientation. Unfortunately, it became evident that individualized services tend to increase costs dramatically and limit services to only those who can afford it. Not the original intention! It was obvious that the methodology being used wasn’t suitable to obtain the envisioned goal and a new, different and innovative approach was needed.
